Look, I’ll be completely honest with you.
When someone tells me their cold email campaign is “failing” because they’re only getting 1% response rates, I just want to shake them.
Most people sending cold emails are getting 0.2% if they’re lucky. And here you are complaining about 1% like it’s some kind of disaster.
Here’s why 1% makes you a cold email rockstar:
You’re beating 90% of everyone else out there. Seriously. While they’re spraying and praying with generic templates, you’ve cracked the code on getting strangers to actually respond.
Think about it – out of 100 random people you’ve never met, ONE is interested enough to write back. That’s not failure AT ALL.
The numbers don’t lie:
Send 1,000 emails at 1% response rate = 10 responses. Convert 3 of those into calls = 3 qualified prospects. Close 1 of those = potentially thousands in revenue.
From 1,000 emails. Show me a billboard that can do that.
But here’s what really makes 1% awesome:
Those people responding aren’t doing it by accident. They read your email, thought “hmm, this might be useful,” and took time out of their day to hit reply.
That’s intent. That’s interest. That’s way more valuable than 100 people who opened your email and immediately deleted it.
Plus, 1% is sustainable. You can hit 1% month after month without burning your domain or ending up in spam folders. Those people claiming 10%+ rates? Their inboxes are about to get nuked.
Bottom line:
Stop apologizing for 1%. Own it. Optimize it. Scale it.
Because while everyone else is chasing fantasy numbers, you’re building a real business one response at a time.
And that’s pretty damn awesome.
